USCIS has Finished it’s H-1B Lottery Registration—FOR NOW!
By: Jan Pederson
On Monday, March 27, 2023, USCIS announced that it received sufficient H-1B electronic registrations to reach the FY 2024 H-1B cap of 85,000. USCIS has not yet advised the number of H-1B registrations. It is widely believed that the H-1B registrations include many registrations that are one foreign national having many prospective employers file a registration, increasing the odds for each H-1B worker who has multiple registrations.
Thus, it is possible there will another round of selections once the H-1B initial filing deadline for the first round of winners has passed and the petitions receipted. For those not winning the lottery, the WCS immigration team is available to explore other options with employers. Please contact Corey Goettsch at legalassistant@wcslaw.com to set up a consultation.
