John offers substantial litigation experience, having prosecuted countless criminal cases, including complex white collar crimes. Previously, he served as an Assistant Attorney General and Prosecutor in the Virginia Office of the Attorney General for over seven years, where he specialized in prosecuting Medicaid Fraud cases.
As a Medicaid Fraud prosecutor, John had a supervisory role over sensitive, complex matters that required nuanced legal analysis and judgment. These cases require the ability to present extremely complex information to judges, attorneys, and other stakeholders in a manner that is understandable and moves the case forward. These cases gave John substantial experience in developing and maintaining working professional relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, whether it be federal agents and prosecutors, officials from regulatory agencies, or representatives from healthcare companies, to name just a few examples. John takes pride in being able to competently navigate the personal side of a legal matter in addition to the courtroom component of a case. He has been a trusted and valued source of advice and knowledge on all things related to court procedures, legal research, case strategy and presentation, the rules of evidence, and trial techniques in general.
