The Law Office of J. Neil Lanzi, P.A. is associated with counsel who handles pharmaceutical cases involving drugs or medical devices that injure people. Currently, counsel is investigating or handling claims arising out of the use of the following medications or medical devices:

1. Steroid Injection containing tainted drugs from compounding center leading to illness and death (see attached list of Maryland facilities utilizing these drugs). Latency period of up to 28 days.
2. Metal on metal hips, including the DePuy Hip implant, Johnson and Johnson recalled (due to infection, breakdown of the implant, metal in blood/or you have received a recall notice or letter);
3. Transvaginal Mesh (TVM or TVT) used to treat stress urinary incontinence and/or public organ prolapse in women. Small pieces of polypropylene inserted in women have led to extensive problems, including surgeries to remove them, infection, erosion of organs by the mesh, etc.
4. Actos – diabetic medication with a strong association with the development of bladder cancer. This is an issue in both genders with dosage and years of use as factors.
5. Pradaxa – blood thinner used generally for individuals over the age of 40 who might be a stroke or heart attack risk or have atrial fibrillation. This drug effect is not reversible leading to problems with patients showing up at the emergency room with bleeding problems.
6. Accutane – Irritable Bowel Syndrome, stomach disorders;
7. DarvonDarvocet – Heart issues, including, abnormal heartbeats or arrhythmias, heart attack, insertion of a pace maker or defribulator, ablation procedures, sudden death (all while taking Darvon or Darvocet or within 24 hours of taking the medication);
8. Avandia – heart attack or stroke;
9. Zimmer Next Generation Knee Implants – implants loosen after surgery;
10. Zoloft – antidepressant, when taken during pregnancy can lead to heart issues followed by cleft palate or cleft lip
11. Topomax – anti-seizure medication, if taken while pregnant may result in child born with birth defects, including cleft palate or cleft lip;
12. Fosamax – female osteoporosis medication, if prescribed for more than two to two and a half years may attack bone structure resulting in spontaneous femur fractures, including transverse femur fractures, high in the leg or the development of stress fractures in the femur which are treated prophylactically with rodding, prior to fracture; and
