This is a Stryker product that has been used in connection with knee replacements that use a “ShapeMatch” cutting system. The ShapeMatch Cutting System helps the surgeon size the bone and now has been recalled as a Class 1 recall by the FDA. A Class 1 recall means that the product might cause serious injury or even death.

Second, problems have arisen from the use of the Transvaginal Mesh Devices for the treatment of urinary stress incontinence or pelvic floor injuries.

Third, due to serious complications, investigations are currently under way for products made by DePuy known as “ASR” or “Pinnacle” used for hip relacements.
