Tom assists clients with diverse legal needs, including contractors, material suppliers, sureties, insurers, dental practitioners, mortgage lenders and brokers, creditors, hotels and fitness centers. He is committed to finding practical solutions wherever possible, and with over 13 years of litigation experience in federal and state courts across the Mid-Atlantic, has a proven track record of positive results in the courtroom.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Cornell University in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2005. He is originally from Texas and grew up in Indiana, but has made Richmond his home for the last 17 years. In June 2019, Tom joined Wright, Constable & Skeen to open the firm’s Richmond office, with the goal of blending the firm’s history of providing top-notch legal representation with his commitment to clients in the Mid-Atlantic and beyond.
Holding licenses in Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and having worked on legal matters involving projects across the eastern seaboard, Tom’s geographic experience is as wide as his practice range. He has litigated matters in all of the state and federal district courts in the jurisdictions where he is licensed, and regularly appears in the bankruptcy courts in Virginia and West Virginia.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Alexis and their three children. He has volunteered as a coach for his sons’ basketball and soccer teams, and plays golf and tennis. Tom is also an avid gardener who has cultivated dozens of varieties of tomatoes and chili peppers, as well as various other vegetables. Tom is a motorsports fan who has attended over a dozen Indianapolis 500s and frequently attends events at Richmond Raceway and other racetracks in Virginia.
