Over fifty years, Mr. Abromaitis has been guiding his clients through the legal labyrinth of business decisions to achieve commercial success. He has served on numerous corporate and philanthropic boards which has given him a depth of understanding of the problems of businesses, from start-ups to mature corporations, whether for profit or nonprofit. In addition, Mr. Abromaitis has sharpened his understanding of the impact of taxes on day to day business operations with his Studies at Georgetown University Law Center where he earned a Masters of Law in Taxation.
Mr. Abromaitis has also served numerous individuals in planning and administering their estates and trusts. From simple wills, powers of attorney and advance medical directives to the complexities of life insurance trusts, marital and charitable trusts, Mr. Abromaitis has enabled clients to minimize their estate, gift and death taxes while helping his clients accomplish their all-important life goals.
Mr. Abromaitis continues to be rated as an AV Preeminent attorney, the highest rating granted by Martindale Hubbell.
In his spare time, Mr. Abromaitis has been the color commentator for his alma mater’s Loyola University Maryland men’s lacrosse games on radio and ESPN3, including the 2012 season when the Greyhounds won the NCAA National Championship. Mr. Abromaitis was also close friends with Tom Clancy before he became famous. In fact, he introduced Tom to the Lithuanian holiday drink viritas which Tom said was strong, but very good. Tom later told him that he had given his lead character in The Hunt for Red October played by Sean Connery in the movie, some of Abromaitis’ (good) characteristics.
