Lisa D. Sparks had already established an accomplished legal career by the time most people get started. She graduated from law school with honors at the young age of 22 and has been recognized around the local community for her extensive work on a variety of committees and professional organizations, especially within the construction industry.
Ms. Sparks joined Wright, Constable & Skeen in 2012. She has a broad range of experience in commercial litigation and in representing construction industry clients in all aspects of business. She is a LEED accredited professional, which is a rarity for attorneys. She represents insurers, owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, and sureties in contract review and negotiation, litigation, mediation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings.
Ms. Sparks spent a year as in-house counsel with a software company and honed her skills in intellectual property, trademark, copyright and licensing. Her background also includes mediating civil cases, advising clients on government contracting, employment, advertising, real estate, and other business matters.
Ms. Sparks is a proud lifelong resident of Baltimore. Outside of work, Ms. Sparks is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law, teaching Construction Law and Uniform Commercial Code. She can also be found at trivia game nights or serving as an avid dog sitter.
