Ms. Ignozzi concentrates her practice in the area of insurance coverage and defense, as well as other complex civil litigation matters including both personal and commercial litigation that involve negligence, premises liability, and fraud. She has also been involved in various business and workplace-related disputes including breach of contract, interference with business relations, defamation, and workplace discrimination, as well as property disputes involving restrictive covenants, trespass and destruction of property. She has litigated cases in District Court and Circuit Court in Maryland, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Ms. Ignozzi was involved in adversarial proceedings before the United States Bankruptcy Court in which she represented a creditor seeking non-dischargeability of debts arising from fraud, and has briefed and argued appeals before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland . She is an advocate for the LGBTQ community and provides pro bono legal services for Maryland’s LGBTQ residents.
Ms. Ignozzi is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division of the MSBA, the Baltimore City Bar Association and the Library Company of the Baltimore Bar.
Ms. Ignozzi graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law (J.D. 2009) where she was the Business Editor on the Journal of Environmental Law. After law school, Ms. Ignozzi had the privilege to serve as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable William O. Carr, Administrative Judge, and as the Adoption Law Clerk for the Honorable Cypert Whitfill in the Circuit Court for Harford County. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore (B.A. summa cum laude 2006).
Originally from Harford County, Ms. Ignozzi now resides in Baltimore County with her husband, two daughters and “hybrid” English-American Bulldog. She volunteers with the Maryland SPCA Urbanites and supports the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital by participating annually in Maryland’s Warrior Dash. Ms. Ignozzi is a wellness advocate, avid runner, and Baltimore sports fan and she actively supports the Maryland Air National Guard where her husband serves as a First Sergeant for the 175th Maintenance Squadron.
