Baltimore Business Journal Features “2 1/2 Minutes” With Wendy Geist

Wendy Geist, Marketing Coordinator at Wright, Constable & Skeen, was recently featured in the 9/13 Edition of The Baltimore Business Journal for her “Rosie the Lawyer” concept. “Rosie the Lawyer” is a program that was started to introduce female high school students to the legal profession.

Wendy Geist: BBJ Rosie the LawyerIt is a play on Rosie the Riveter from World War II, to enstill the idea that women can do whatever men can do. Maritime and construction law, two niches at Wright, Constable & Skeen, are not commonly thought of as fields a woman may enter into. This program includes seven attorneys, five of which are from WCS, speaking about the field.

Bob Heseelbacher, WCS partner, has helped to spearhead this project. Bob is a dean of CollegeBound, which is very active inner-city organization that puts their counselors in the high school to indenty kids who are bright and have good grades. Bob has helped to open a partnership with CollegeBound and “Rosie the Lawyer”.
