Construction Law, including representation of general contractors, subcontractors and sureties regarding mechanic’s liens, surety claims, construction defect claims, actions under Federal or state Miller Acts, government procurement, and claims for design defects, differing site conditions, delays, as well as mediation and/or arbitration of construction disputes.
General civil litigation, railroad litigation as well as insurance defense, including commercial general liability coverage and architect or engineer malpractice claims.
Immigration Law, including employment and family-based immigration matters, nonimmigrant or temporary visas and adjustment of status cases.

After law school, Mr. Potter served as law clerk for the Honorable Thomas E. Marshall of the Circuit Court for Harford County during the 2005-2006 term.
EDUCATION
 
Mr. Potter received his juris doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2005.
Mr. Potter received his bachelor of arts from The Ohio State University in 1995, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Spanish.
HONORS/AWARDS
 
During law school, Mr. Potter received the University of Baltimore´s Clinical Excellence Award for 2005, awarded annually to two law students from UB´s nine law clinics who have demonstrated excellence in advocacy and professional judgment in clinical work.

Mr. Potter is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section and Construction Law Forum, as well as a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Locally, Mr. Potter is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Baltimore City.
